Perfect tin and the voodoo are awful.

I can't trust your opinion if you think PJs is better than CCs. Our tastes buds must be complete opposites.

Everybody has their thing, just always found Community to have a burnt taste with the natural sweet notes to be lacking. I drink mine black though so creamer and sugar I'm sure can cover that up.

What do you drink?

I've tried a bunch and for the most part not many of them stand out to me. I've been trying all of the archer farms versions that aren't flavored and while I don't Not like them they don't really stand out to me either.

Heard decent things about Joke Joint. Interested to try this soon

I always give Tin Roof's new beers a try...Sometimes it's a miss, and other times it's a slam dunk (Parade Ground)

Juke Joint is good. Not 5*, but it is good on a hot day outside

Its good enough to buy, IMO. The states IPA game is pretty weak (outside of Parish of course)

The porter is very good IMHO. I really like Juke Joint. Also....although I'm a minority on this opinion; I buy Voodoo Bengal regularly.

3. What really is their best beer on the market?

PGP & Juke Joint

The rest aren't worth buying IMO (Rougarou included considering the price)

I probably should have said that I like Perfect Tin when it's been in the fridge for an extended period of time. For some reason it doesn't taste good at room temp imo.

Also, I get what you are saying about the "ice cold" comment.

Maybe some of their other stuff is good but Commotion APA in the can is complete garbage. Its water with a hint of hops. Poured it after a few terrible sips.

Huh? Must've gotten a bad can or had Southern Drawl. It's not the best beer in the world but its a solid APA. Definitely hoppy. Whether you like it or not is your opinion, but I don't think I have ever had someone tell me it only had "a hint of hops"

If it was that bad, I would try it again for your sake. I really don't know anyone who likes hoppy beer who thought it was so bad they would pour it out. Some people aren't impressed with it, but that's a big leap from Tetu'ing it.

ETA: To the OP, PGP is Tin Roof's best offering so far that I have tried, but I admittedly haven't had Juke Joint.

2. Do people at Tin Roof really love their beer or do they know things need to be tweaked?

I hope they don't love it because its all mediocre at best. PGP and Juke Joint are drinkable, every other offering is junk. I have not have rougarou, though, but I hear its pricey and not regularly available.

Parish is the only brewery worth a shite in this state IMO

Not at all. NOLA is doing things, they just need to can some of their select releases. Even Abita has been stepping up their game. I love Parish but it's far from the only brewery in the state.

We bounce around a lot when it comes to coffee. Usually stick to medium roast, whole beans. Have had a few private roasts that are done fresh and honestly there is a difference.

It isn't a flashy brand, but 8o'clock coffee has been somewhat of a regular. River road can be a little thin tasting sometimes, but an extra scoop or two solves that.

Never knew community had such hate. I think their Columbian is pretty good. I've tried several different brands and haven't found a huge difference in quality. 8 o'clock didn't impress me that much.

Like you said, cream and sugar goes a long way in compensating. I've been drinking it black lately and you definitely pick up more of the flaws.

I've been thinking lately about getting an espresso machine.

Wife used to do a lot of espresso. I will order it, but seldom do I use the machine at the house. It is a pretty intense flavor.

I still hit community from time to time. Just find their basic line to be really burnt/bitter. They have a reserve line or something that is definitely a notch up.
