Good for the price point and type food they serve. Also the atmosphere goes a long way for the overall experience. Go on Tuesday. $2 tacos and beer

Not worth the wait, drive to Mr Taco if you want better and authentic without the wait

Without the $2 taco tuesday, I find it to be way too expensive for what you get on other days. I don't think the tacos are that great and they are really small.

Tacos are small and always served cold or room temp at best. Insanely over salted. The nachos are legit and could easily serve 2 people as a meal. I stay away because the food isn't worth the price nor the parking fiasco.

This is my only issue. I think most of the taco combinations are interesting, and I've never had one I dislike, but I am also convinced their kitchen it set up like the sandwich line at Subway and they're just putting cold ingredients on your tacos.

Also agree about the parking. I've had to change plans I had at Olive or Twist because of Rum House parking.

Last time I was there, I just wanted to get a drink. Found a parking spot (amazing!) and a seat at the bar (double amazing!) and then proceeded to sit there for five minutes while the Manager was busy trying to hit on the bartender (a girl). This all happened mere feet in front of me. He was giving her the "what are you doing later" bit, she was giggling and looking at her phone and I was sitting there drinkless and none too happy. Normally I would have done the "do you mind?" thing but I wanted to see how long it could possibly go on. Did I mention they were directly in front of me? I was RIGHT THERE and could hear every word.

Suffice it to say, they went long enough for me to get up and leave. Hostess saw me get up (because I was literally right there in the middle of the bar by the hostess stand) and asked why I was leaving. I said, probably a bit loud, that if the Manager would quit trying to frick the bartender then maybe I could get a drink but since that wasn't happening I was going somewhere else. The look on her face was priceless.

BTW, this was in the middle of the day and not at midnight or something.

So, as far as a review, I don't much like Rum House. But you probably figured that out.

One in Nola on Magazine is better.

One in BR is ok--too many people and the parking woes keep me away though.

So how is the NOLA one any better other than being in New Orleans?
