First of all, I love this tiny place. Great little spot.

But that Falafel sandwich at 1000 Figs is not only one of my very favorite "sandwiches" in New Orleans, but the thing is only $5.50! Now, it is a dollar to add all kinds of different things to it, like Hummus, but thats really not needed. It is absolutely packed with flavor as is with what's already on it.

Just a great deal all around.

But seriously I am a meat eater (TWSS), and am not big on anything vegetarian, but you do not miss it at all with that sandwich. It is absolutely fricking delicious.

They do have a smoked chicken sandwich, but I haven't had it. They also have a lamb heart kebab that looked awesome.

I like the gyro at lebanon a lot. But Falafel really blew me away. Honestly, I can't believe how much I liked it.

It's a smoked chicken salad sandwich, and it just doesn't work well. All you taste is smoked chicken - not to mention that it's like $11 with no sides.

The place is tiny, so it's ridiculously loud with hipsters everywhere, so for me, carry out is the way to go.

But yeah, the falafel sammich is a total arse kicker!

I was trying to figure out the economics of the Falafel for 2 platter.

The falafel platter is 11. The falafel for 2 is 28. It must come with a bunch of extra stuff.

My favorite falafel in the city, love this place...though it is tiny inside.

Every time we've got we split the falafel platter, add feta and an extra falafel or two and we're usually stuffed...though some of the extra items do sound good.
