I went there once to see what all the hype was about and was disappointed. Never went there again. When pharm reps bring it to our office, the beef and chicken taste like a pile of salt and we wind up tossing it all away.

It also depends on who is making it.

Absolutely. I'm a regular and most of the employees at the BR locations recognize me. They'll typically pile on a lot more meat when they know you're a regular customer.

And another tip, get combo (2 meats). It's a nickel more than getting just steak, and they ALWAYS load you down with meat. Pork and steak combo is fantastic.

I think Chipotle and Moe's are both better than Izzo's. Having said that, Izzo's is still pretty good.

You're out of your fricking mind.

Of all the Mexican Subways popping up, Izzo's is probably better than most-I'm not a big fan of Tex Mex or anything related to it, but I like Izzo's.

Freebirds is bland, Chiptole is just ok, I prefer Mission here in Houston but I could do with an Izzo's here if nothing else for nostalgia's sake.

Good but too expensive IMO. It's like 1$ to add certain things that I didn't realize until I paid 13 for a medium burrito combo. Most places don't charge 1$ for guac, mushrooms, etc. but they do. If it was cheaper it'd be awesome.

Barberitos is the best I've had.. based in Athens, GA

and Slidell could use one of any of these chains. Taco Bell is the only mexican fast food here.

Different concept. Izzos is a quick service assembly line and Juans is a sit down.restaurant. burritos are comparable in price but Juans is better.

eh, agree to disagree. Moe's is like 60% of the price of Izzo's (for me anyway) and I prefer it. To each his own.

Unfortunately, aside from their queso, Moe's also has like 60% of the taste of Izzo's as well.

And Moe's changed to some generic salsa the last time I went to one in Alabama. Tasted like Pace. And for what I get at Izzo's, it's about a dollar more and I'll pony that up without a second look.

But at what point are you so worried about not getting ripped off that you're actually getting something that doesn't taste as good?

of course in a sense it is gonna taste the same no matter how much or little meat you have on it. my argument is that they dont give enough meat. thats it. im not talking about having a ripped off feeling or it doesnt taste the same because of the lack of meat. youre going way too emo into this

They put enough meat on there to justify their prices

you do realize that since they have opened the LSU store, they have raised the prices of the burritos while at the same time decreasing the amount of meat you get?

The one in Metairie gives me tons of meat and the one on Burbank used to do the same.

Izzo's is average, at best.

You definitely overpay for what you get. You can get a bigger and better burrito for less money at any taqueria in town.

The only reason I ever go to Izzo's is if I'm literally driving past one while starving to death, and don't feel like driving to a taqueria. I stopped at one yesterday, an illegal burrito and large drink set me back $18 with tax.
