Suggestions?
Or should we just drive into BR and go to Ruth's?

Little Village, Ruths, Flemings, or Mansur's

LV was a thought. Is the one in Prairieville still open?
I didn't think Flemings was open for lunch.

Lunch at Houma's House
Posted on 8/19/10 at 9:31 pm to liuyaming
If you need to stay in Gonzales, Sno's is prob your best bet, it is the "nicest" place and food is hit or miss but "okay"
For the best food go to Kamals Kafe if lebanise food works for you
Starlight espresso cafe has some great salads (chicken walnut) sandwhiches (deli deli) and burgers
Don's seafood has a great crawfish bisque but nothing else there impress me
Casa Maria is standard tex mex

I don't really care for Sno's anymore. I went a few times when we first moved here (actually live down 74) but it seems to have gone downhill fast.
Looking for a nice place to go since this client is spending 4k with my business.
Might hit up Houma's House. I've been to weddings there but never lunch.
ETA: crap, website says only open at nights
Might be going to LV. Maybe Roberto's?

Houmas House lunch spot

Cafe' Burnside
Our lunchtime restaurant open from 11 am to 2 pm daily, is a place where one can take a break from their hectic day and enjoy a casual lunch. Our menu is varied and ranges from a great healthy salad, to a fried oyster po-boy, to a filet mignon, done just right. Relax and order a mint julep or select a bottle of wine from our extensive wine list, and enjoy the afternoon. The Pavillon at Houmas House design is reminiscent of the garconierre at Germania Plantation, located across the Mississippi River. Old brick walls from remnants of a cotton warehouse built by the Princess of Monaco in 1883, are accented with 250 year old windows and large spans of glass which allow our guests picturesque views of the gardens and fountains. Large oil paintings of garden scenes accent the walls to create an ambience that's classic, yet comfortable.

Cool. I was reading the Latil's info and menu.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yep. Houmas is top choice. I've actually enjoyed dons the last couple of lunch fuctions I've been to. The boiled shrimp are done well and the gumbo was pretty decent too.
Highland isn't too far and French market bistro and galatoires are great options.

Hit up the cabin. Best gumbo in town and pretty good lunch specials.
