We had some of those cornbread waffles( LINK )left from last nights dinner so I popped a couple in the toaster to warm and fixed myself a couple of fresh eggs sunny side up to top the waffles with.

I don't know if anyone has ever tried something like this but sunny side up eggs go perfectly with cheesey, pepper laced cornbread like this. Being in the form of a waffle with the crispy ridges and reservoirs with melted butter are just made for each other.the little resvoir hold the warm rich egg yolk after you pierce that orb of deliciousness. Mmm.... Mmmmmm..............

Goes better together than toast for sure!

That's outstanding. Bacon or sausage on the side would make it even more awesome.

Lol............ Sorry gang, I guess I'm just mean today. Actually this was just a quick breakfast and I considered cooking some bacon but decided to just have the eggs and waffles.
You guys have got to try cornbread waffles with the egg yolk. Fantastic!!!

Honest and stupid question. How do y'all get the top of your eggs to firm up when cooking them sunny side up? Cover them for a bit?

Yes, I just turn the heat down low and cover, I use a glass lid so I can see them.

BTW, that's not a stupid question. You never know for sure if you don't ask.

Good to see some folks from Primo over here. I love those "what's cooking" threads.
