Ate there last night. Man they make a great old fashion and the waitresses are on point. You'd think having at least a D cup was a requirement with all the cleavage being shown.

Their food and service are not on the same level as their price point. They will not get any more of my money.

I ate there twice recently. It sure doesn't seem to be what it used to be. Ruth's or Fleming's is more worth it.

Sullivan's "heyday" was early to mid 2000's. It's not bad, but it is a shadow of its former self.

It's a chain. I would rather spend my money on an upscale local joint

I've never had issues with their service. I think they do a good job there. Now, their food...has been hit and miss. Leo needs to scale back on the Baton Rouge social scene and focus on his kitchen.

I can definitely agree that the steak I got was not that great for the price. The calamari appetizer was excellent however.
I'd say Mansurs>Ruth Chris > Sullivan's.. I need to try Flemings

I agree the wait staff includes major talent.

Apps are really good, not so much the steaks though.

In not sure theit filet mignon is prime, I think it's choice.

Their New York strip and ribeye I believe are prime.

I could be wrong, but I think someone else has mentioned this before on this board.

Second time I've seen this. Not sure where this comes from. Their menu lays this to rest.

quote:

At Fleming’s we deliver an indulgent steak experience customized for you; we serve the finest available hand-selected USDA Prime, Certified Angus and Wagyu beef expertly aged a minimum of 21 days; your steak will be prepared to your exact preferences, seasoned with kosher salt and black pepper, then broiled at 1600° and finished with butter and fresh parsley

No exception is denoted on the menu.

Many on here will ridicule this place, as they do charge prime prices for non-prime meats.

But in terms of service, I can't find a better restaurant in town that goes all out to ensure that a customer of theirs enjoys a nice time while dining at their restaurant, especially when celebrating a special occasion.

And FWIW, I have never had a bad meal there. Steaks are good. Excellent side choices. And plenty of wine. Plus they're able to offer Stone Crabs right now - can't get any better than this.

That snippet from the menu doesn't say they only serve prime.

Go read the rest of the menu. They serve only prime unless the suggestion is they serve choice and pass it off of prime. I don't think anyone is suggesting that.

I can say none of the chains are using prime filet mignon including Flemings and Ruth's Chris. Their menu says prime on every steak but that one if you read closely.

You'll notice every steak mentions usda prime on Ruth's menu and only some mention on Flemings with the exception of filet and wagyu.
