Desi Vega is owned by the same people as Mr. John's right? I've had both, and they were the same steak.

Still my favorite in the city.

La boca is the best meal I've had in New Orleans. Haven't been to August yet tho.

Yes, same people. Five years ago or so before they opened Desi Vega, mr. johns was on point and probably the best steak in the city.

They dropped off big time once they opened Desi Vega .. Although I think they have started to bounce back in recent months - they are still not what they once were ..

I know this place gets a lot of hate here, but I had a great meal at Besh Steakhouse last week.

Yeah, I have never been to Besh but I'm sure it's great and probably better than most in the city.
