You never know....they just recently got rid of the Texas Wheat, and replaced it with their Weedwacker beer, from the moveable yeast series...a take on the lawnmower but with Bavarian hefeweizen yeast.
When will Weedwacker be in stores?

They had a pretty big stack.

last night I hit Whole-foods, Calandros, and both Matherne's in one hour. little marathon beer run.
I did the same thing wed night, minus whole foods. I got one beer camp bottle, cali common. Haven't tried it yet though.
I was very close to picking up that Mikkeller beer geek brunch weasel beer, but they had a nice supply so Im holding off until my next trip....you talked me into it the other night.

If you get a chance, pick up a Weizenbock before they are all gone. Holy cow, delicious!!

Life doesn't get much better than that.
and I picked up some of this stuff for some friends who've been to Belgium and fell in love with it. Hopefully I'll give it a try this weekend.

You must have a hookup with one of their employees-the DR never saw the store shelves (confirmed this yesterday). Supposedly one keg each at Chimes and at Bulldog. They have even more of a selection than usual. Picked up a 6 of the SA Summer Pilsner, which he said was pretty good this year.

I found my sixer of DR at whole foods in br. I'll have to swing by for the beer camp beers this morning.

Absolutely not.
LSUBoo made a thread about it being on the shelves there on a thursday night, and I had a friend of mine walk in off the streets and buy a case of it Friday morning.
Oh, and Fratastic. Calandros for that Beer Camp sampler too. (it sounds like you're saying you're going to WF for it just in case)

How was that Mikkel beer? I saw it on the shelf last time I stopped by Calandros but never picked it up.

Beer Geek Brunch Weasel?
I liked it. I've always liked beers like that though. Between Rogue Chocolate stout, Mocha Porter and Meantime Coffee Porter, those are all up there on my list. So this was a natural choice for me. It's thick. Looks like old motor oil but it's just good. Not sweet to me so it goes great with a breakfast like that. Worth a try for sure.

mmmm....good. I've got some in the fridge with Avery's Maharaja IPA, Full Sail IPA, Avery's Ellie Brown Ale, Deshutes Mirror Pond Pale Ale, and Yetti Imperial Stout. Daddy is about to have some fun...
