I used to love the fried turkey wings from the ghetto quick stop (now Brown Derby) on Tulane and Jeff Davis

I used to like the big smoked turkey legs from Sams. I had one at a tournament one year, or festival, and got violently ill.

Haven't had one since.

never had smoked. Where you get them fresh smoked? Only seen them in the cold section at grocery store.

Disneyworld - Frontier section. Great taste, but too many tendons to chew around.

Fried turkey wings if it's done right.

ETA: ...once you try one of these you'll change your mind about turkey wings.

Chicken.

Turkey wings (and legs) are terrible.

BOTH ... my Wife takes the crab boiled ones, and then smothers them in gravy.

One of the many reasons I married her, but it's at the top of the culinary reasons.

The best fried turkey wings are in Baton Rouge at:

Scenic Seafood (Scenic Hwy. near Harding Blvd., near Southern University)

V&P Seafood (on Florida Blvd., about 2 blocks off if Acadian, near Mid City General)

Baton Rouge Seafood (on Winbourne just off of N. Foster)

... all of these spots are Asian owned and use the same recipe. I don't know how close of a family connection, but I've seen certain people working at both Scenic and V&P.

Regardless, best fried turkey wings ever.

I could be wrong but I thought the family connection was with V&P Seafood and BR Seafood.

But if y'all are ever in Plaquemine, there's a shop called Easy Shop that serves up similar turkey wings and a hidden gem across the street, Fat Daddy's for some po-boys.
