It's not a philly cheesesteak, but the primerib po-boy at Sammy's is pretty damn good served w/ au jus and fries for about 9 bucks.

I can vouch for South of Philly also, but the ambiance is sort of like a run down ex-BK. Sticky tables, bad music too loud, gum-popping counter girl.
The PCS are pretty good though.

this thread got me to South of Philly for lunch today.....was good stuff. i had the mushroom philly and son had the tiger philly....sat at the bar and watched tv.

south of philly is pretty good, but at the same time I find it kind of tasteless at times.
