I may be dying and soup is all I want in this, my darkest hour. What are some good soups in Baton Rouge that I might luck out on via Waitr.

I've already tried Dang's. I live too far.

The problem is that I need somewhere that I can either get delivered or drive through. I'm pretty sick and want to limit my contact with people as much as possible. I'm leaning toward Panera's chicken noodle.

EDIT: The worst part is that I have good soups in my freezer, but they're all heavier soups. All my clear/light soups are gone.

Ive liked Panera's soups. They have a good broccoli cheddar and chicken noodle. It's not restaurant quality, but they are good for someone sick.

Panera's looking like my best option. I can pay online and just pick it up, so whoever is working the drive through won't have to handle my card.

Also, they sell it in bulk, so I can get enough to feed 4 and have some for later.

There is also that Waiter app that picks up take out for you and delivers it for about $5 extra bucks if you dont want to leave the house. Just check their client list.

Already hit that app up. Pho was first on my list. My house is apparently a geographical oddity. Too far away from any of Waitr's partners that sell pho.

I was hoping that there were some of their other restaurants that had good sick soups, but all the ones I browsed through just serve heavy cream and cheese based soups.

Pho is definitely what you need. If you are a fan of good pho, don't waste your time with Pho Cafe on Sherwood but they might do if you just have to have pho and can't find any alternatives.

As a backup, I would reccomend a giant bowl of La Madeline's tomato basil. It's pretty damn tasty, plus tons of vitamin c.

And add a grilled cheese, if you think you can swing it. They have one, but it's on the kids menu so they look at you funny when you order it.

ETA: Hope you feel better

People might be able to give you more geographically friendly suggestions if you share what area of town you're in.

Location in the city would certainly help.

With that said, I found Carrabba's Mama Mandola's Sicilian Chicken Soup remarkably satisfying last time I was dying. Curbside takeout and they give it to you in two small containers so you can make two servings out of it if you want.

The Carraba's curbside is an excellent suggestion. Their Sicilian chicken soup is pretty damn good.

Last week I was sick as a dog -- went to Umami and had their "hangover" soup. Woke up the following morning feeling like new. Delicious and a cures any ailment you may have.

Update: I'm not as close to death as I was yesterday. I went with the chicken noodle and it hit the spot. I'm in midcity, so Carraba's is a good suggestion.

As for The Hangover, I had that two days ago on the first day I was dying. Umami is close enough that Waitr will deliver. I don't know if it was any good, though. I couldn't taste anything. It did have soup and noodles, though, so it fit the bill.

I don't have any suggestions for drive up pick up, but I hope you fell better soon.
Do you have family or friends who can pick up things for you?

The lemon chicken orzo at Panera is good but they don't always have it.

The chicken pasta soup at J Alexander's would be my choice. OP could call it in and they'd bring it out to his vehicle if he explained his situation. That soup is delicious.
