Stopping for night to sleep in a grain bin. No shite. On our way to Ark...

I've heard the place is worth checking out. Question is for the FDB'ers - what to eat/drink while there? I'll be getting in around 6 and poking around til about 3 tomorrow.

Been there, but been a few years. It was when they had just completed the grain bin rooms. They were actually pretty nice.

Buddy of mine said they have done lots more there, but not sure what. They used to have music sometimes in the big barn.

For food you could just hit up Ground Zero Blues Club, or just get you a BBQ sandwhich from Abe's.

I'd try to hit up Red's Lounge as well. Or if you are getting there today, you might want to go south a little to Po Monkey's...only open on Thursday.

Definitely hit up Ground Zero while you are there. Not a whole lot going on in Clarksdale. The best restaurant in town, Madidi, closed a couple of years ago. Try Rust or Oxbow and get some tamales from one of the many joints around town.

If it was me I would go to Ground Zero Blues club and eat bar food and drink cold beers.

Ground Zero is one of a very few reasons (probably the best reason) for stopping in Clarksdale, MS.

Here is Ground Zero from a few months back complete with a Catfish Sandwich

My mom's hometown. It's fallen off a lot in the past twenty years. I would recommend a burger from Abe's BBQ at the crossroads of the two highways.
