Perbaco in San Francisco .. seek out O Brah for more detailed recs on this place. Haven't been but everyone says it's unbelievable Italian.

Epsilon in Monterey (pretty close / on the way.. to Carmel). I went here once a week when I live on the central coast. Delicious greek food!

Perfect .. go to Northstar, it's the LSU alumni bar. Watched the Washington game there last season and had a great time. There's a girl who cooks jambalaya in the bar during games.

House of Prime Rib if you change your mind and want steak and big red wines

Zushi Puzzle on Lombard is a great sushi joint.

Had a nice Italian meal, Sicilian style, at Caffe Sport. For Chinese, we went to House of Nanking and ate family style plus a few add ons. Very good.

In San Francisco:

Tadich Grill in downtown SF. Great old seafood restaurant.

House of Prime Rib for the best prime rib you have ever put in your mouth.

Alioto’s at Fisherman's Wharf - Italian seafood. It was fantastic.

Cliff House for drinks. Gorgeous sunset. Food is good, but not on par with the other restaurants mentioned.

In Carmel:

French Poodle - The roast duck was unbelievable. Call early for reservations, because it was crowded. NEED RESERVATIONS.

Pacific's Edge Restaurant - located at the Highlands' Inn, about 4 miles south of Carmel on Highway 1. This is the restaurant in the VISA commercial. The view is incredible (high above the ocean looking out on the surf below). Seating for dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. and you can only get a table by the window if you arrive at that time or at least by 6:30 p.m. The sunset view is spectacular and the food is outstanding. NEED RESERVATIONS (ask for a table by the window).

Casanova - Great Italian food. Very romantic. NEED RESERVATIONS.

Flaherty's Seafood Grill - Outstanding seafood (especially the fried seafood platter of fish, calameri and prawns). We ate here for lunch.

Have fun and eat well. San Francisco and Carmel are my two favorite cities in the world and the food is fantastic. Make sure you post when you return if you go to any of these restaurants. I want details. Enjoy.

We did Alioto's...wasn't very enjoyable for us compared to food away from the water...but it had a nice view.

Thanks Waco. Just made a reservation at Pacific Edge for 6:00. Looks awesome!

They have Abalone for a starter.

Damn. Guess it has been a while since I went. The wife will be disappointed.

We were in SF this past weekend, watched the game at Northstar Cafe in the North Beach area of the city. It's the "LSU bar in SF," but keep in mind we don't have the largest fan base out there. We had an awesome time, and hung out with a few other LSU fans...probably about twenty total. The place got packed as the game went on with a lot of cool people. Great service from the bartenders, cool area to hang out in, small place with a cool neighborhood-bar vibe. A guy/alum named Terrell cooks LA food every weekend there, and it looked awesome. I definitely recommend it if you're in town for a game. They said way more LSU fans would've been there had it been a better game.
