The new New Orleans is different. Dat Dog on Magazine is where Florida fans watch the games.

I stumbled upon this a few weeks ago. I had no idea, is there some relation there?

I could see that back in the 80's and 90's when LSU wasn't winning, but you'd think with their success the last 15 years, these types of uptown fans would have disappeared or have been converted to LSU fans.

I mean, are there any LSU, Florida or UGA bars in Birmingham?

Not all Bama fans are terrible. There are good and bad of us. Same could be said for LSU fans.

There is no reason to avoid the Rusty Nail because Bama fans show up. It's a great bar to watch a game. Go and enjoy yourself.

I always heard it was a Bama bar but I have never been. It looks awesome online, I'd like to go eventually.

Ya, all the people who moved to Atlanta from NOLA, Pittsburgh, Dallas, New York and Houston have become Falcons and UGA fans.

I know it's hard to believe, but some people take into consideration things other than football when deciding what college to attend

Care to expound? I'm simply asking a question about a city in LA with less than 400,000 people (city proper) having a designated Alabama bar. Seems odd to me, that's all I'm saying.

There are a good amount of Bama fans in New Orleans. Sure some attended the school but many are just front runner fans. Madigans does a Tea Bag Tuesday special. If you drink til you pass out your bar tab is paid for by a Bama boy. In return he gets to place his nuts on your face. It's a win win situation for Bama fans.

It isn't a Bama themed bar, just a place where Bama fans get together to watch the games.

Give it a rest. You make it sound like the City of New Orleans officially designated it The Alabama Bar. A guy who went to Bama owns it. Bama fans started going there to watch games 14 or so Saturdays out of the year

Well, they do have a Bama helmet, and several flags but it's not obnoxious.

Well, there you go. To me that says it's a designated Bama bar. Shouldn't it be a mix of teams' memorabilia, in that case?

It is. They have plenty of LSU items.

This. There is a large number of Alabama fans when their game is on but it usually clears out after. And while they have a few obnoxious fans, most of them are graduates and not the sidewalk white trash fan many expect.
On a sidenote; it is probably my favorite bar in the city.

If you were to randomly go there, you'd probably wouldn't notice the Bama stuff. I've been there quite a few times and don't recall any Bama stuff

it's a damn strong bar IMO and IMHO and a shame I don't go there more often

I had no idea it was a Bama bar until I saw it here a while back, and I've been plenty of times. Always a good time IMO.
