LSU at 2:30 - Bama at 6:00

I've seen references that it's a Bama bar. Does it get flooded with gumps or is that a running joke on here for some reason I'm not aware of?

That's their meeting place for games. I wouldn't go anywhere near that place on gameday, personally.

If they host gumps, I wouldn't go there any day.

Got it. Sounds terrible .

Just checking. Like I said, I didn't know if that was a joke for some reason.

With this time frame, you'll probably be fine.

The Gumps will start showing up before 6, but it doesn't get too bad. Especially playing Arky. When it's Ole Miss weekend, I avoid at all costs.

Great bar, otherwise.

ETA: 1/3 of their ownership is an LSU grad.

So painful that it's a Bama bar. One of the best bars in LA.

Just the thought of rubbing elbows with them in a football context turns my stomach.

Definitely one of the better day drinking bars.

That is disappointing .

As soon as I heard roll damn tide, I'd have to walk out the door. Hard to enjoy yourself with that kind of trash coming out of people's mouth.

My first time at RN was during the UA OM game a couple of weeks ago. All of the ppl I was with were lsu fans and they suggested that we go there. We all had a good time and no one was teabagged that I'm aware of.

We were at Mannings for the LSU-AU game. That place is nice. Loads of talent there.

For once I agree with you. Too many options in town to deal with gumps.

Never quite understood why and how there's an Alabama bar in NOLA. NOLA isn't that transient to have a bar for a specific school, no?

The new New Orleans is different. Dat Dog on Magazine is where Florida fans watch the games.

There are a lot of sec grads in New Orleans, Bama included. Don't know why that would surprise you. 95 percent of the time you would never know it's a Bama spot

I can think of an Ole Miss bar, a Uga bar, and a Florida bar while I'm at it

It's not transients. Sadly, many uptown New Orleanians used to (some still do) look down upon LSU and would send their children elsewhere. Many to Bama, UGA, USCe, Ole Miss....

Dave. I don't find him to be a particularly militant Bama fan
