My parents were there last week and really enjoyed it. Dad had the quail 3 ways and would order it again. Mom had the shrimp and grits because she couldn't decide and ordered her backup plan. She enjoyed it, but would have preferred something else. Wasn't standout. Likes her own much better.

Dad had the turtle soup. Said Peche's seafood gumbo had more flavor, but liked it a lot. Mom had roasted oysters for an app and would order them again.

That's all I can recall, but they were pleased overall. Meal was long and there was a lag a bit too long between app and entree. Took a while to get a drink, as well, but the waiter apologized profusely after my Mom had to flag him down. It's not meant to be a quick meal type place, though, from what I've read.

Service is absolutely their downfall. First time for dinner w/ 8 of us it was just okay-to-good, but could have used some improvement. Second time for lunch it was atrocious. Slow, disjointed, confused. Third time for lunch we sat at the bar and it was good except the bartenders were a little annoying.

the death by gumbo is okay. a little too salty the time I had it.

OP .. if you're feeling more adventurous the beef tartare and the sweetbreads are both outrageous.

things to avoid (at least .. things I didn't care for):

venison carpaccio - Ruth's Chris carpaccio blows this one out of the water. Chophouse's is better too.

bird in a cage - boring .. no depth of flavor.

What is the dress code. Will be going after work with some vendors in jeans and a nice button up shirt. Is this appropriate?

Yeah you'll be fine in jeans. Tuck your shirt in though.

+1

I think the sweetbreads are the best thing I've had there.

First time I had sweetbreads was at Tommy's downtown and to tell you the truth I wasn't a big fan. I'm definitely good with trying sweetbreads again, but does anyone have any comparison between Tommy's and Revolution?
