I know most just eat it cold and I usually do to. But is there any good ways I could get them back hot like they were just poured out of the basket onto the newspaper?

Will just knock'em down cold if there isn't any good ways

I don't think it can be done like you're wanting, so eat them cold.

Boil water with seasoning. Turn off. Add crawfish until warmed.

The ole re-dip.

You could try re-boiling them in seasonings for about 30 secs. I wouldn't go longer than that.

I got a big pot I can throw on the stove and a bottle of liquid season. I might bring it to a boil then turn it off and toss them in it for a few min.

I was wondering if I could just run hot water over them for a few min. That would be easiest but prolly take the taste away :/

I'd rather toss them into boiling water for 30 secs and pull them. I think that would just re-heat them. A few minutes in the warming water might make them soft.

Probably so.

Might work. Might dry them out.

It's 8 lbs...Peel them cold and use them for an etouffee, then go purchase 8lbs of fresh boiled.

I wanna say I've heard of people microwaving them in a paper sack to keep the moisture in.

Steam 'em. Put a few inches of water into a pot large enough to accomodate a metal colander (or steaming basket or pasta strainer). Bring to a boil, add crawfish to colander/basket, put on a lid. Steam for 5-10 mins. Voila, hot crawfish, not watery, overcooked, or leached of all seasoning. Prob need to do 2-3 lbs at a time unless you have a very large steamer basket.

I wouldn't re-boil them. Most likely this will overcook them. Best way is to heat lightly seasoned (they already have seasoning on them so you have to be careful) water up to a low simmer and cut the fire. Let it sit for a few minutes and throw crawfish in and let them soak for a few minutes to get some juice back in them.

Crawfish can overcook really easily when re-heating them.

Did you try the reverse sear method?

I think I said this earlier, but the OP wants to boil them some more. I prefer cold crawfish sometimes. you can really suck the heads without the seasoning going up in your nose/sinuses.

I would steam them also if I wanted to reheat, but I'm okay with them cold. The fat is nice and solid and easy to get to.

Cold crawfish are awesome. I'd rather have them cold than room temperature.

Hopefully only sea salt and cracked black pepper was used to season them and they were flipped only twice, max.
