We are getting Down there fairly early, is it too early in the season for charbroiled oysters? She really likes those

Why eat by the dome? Are you staying down there?

Make sure she wears shoes she can walk in since she doesn't know what she's doing. Tell her explicitly to wear shoes she can walk around in all night. If you don't, she'll be miserable and you'll get no birthday poon.

This. Great happy hour and cool atmosphere. Went there before a concert recently, there should be some solid eye candy there if it's a Katy Perry show. You could do this and Borgne since they are in the same building.

THIS THIS THIS

I've done heels/wedges walking around the city too many times. I walk in heels pretty comfortably/easily for long periods of time, but walking around the city, with the awful streets, is a whole different ballgame.

If I go to a nice dinner in New Orleans, I pack my heels in my purse and do a switcharoo right before we get to the restaurant

Herbsaint. It's a little walk, but not bad at all. You can get there for an early cocktail and little gumbo and an app before the show.
