Do NO BBQ places serve white BBQ sauce?

McClures had it as did NOLA smokehouse's previous place, IIRC.

The white only taste good on chicken.

I haven't had Blue Oak yet, but plan to fix that soon.

I still like McClure's a lot! Better than The Joint, which is also very good. I agree that Squeal is not very good. Saucy's was okay, but I only went once and need to give them a second chance.

e never had just normal BBQ at squeal. I have only been there twice and both times tried one of the more adventurous dishes.

Their normal BBQ isn't great but the pork belly sandwich is where it's at!

I'm hoping y'all are looking for a stand alone place in that area.

I've never had Saucy's ribs but their Carolina sammich is on par with Whole Foods. So legit.

Overall I agree with the board. Joint is the best.

Anyone try Ugly Dog lately?

last football season.

and it seemed they were still using less than stellar methods to heat up the food. good if you catch it fresh, but anything after it first comes off the smoker is no good at all.

I don't like their meat, but I enjoy their slaw and beans a lot. It's good with a high life or some Beam.

I've always enjoyed Blue Oak. My boss has had it catered a couple times a year for the last two years. It's always been great.

i know for quite awhile they were microwaving to heat up the items they smoked. was a disaster. not sure what it is these days. i know the "kitchen" was pretty limited when new ownership got it, and they wanted to revamp.

until they have a way to warm the meat efficiently after its done smoking outside... its not a viable contender here.

I did end up having a small pulled pork and slaw sandwich at the NOLA Brewing new taproom grand opening. It was delicious.
