The property it set up perfectly for everything we have planned, including outside dining, bar and much more. I'd like to think of it as more of a lunch counter casual atmosphere but if the process takes us into a full scale restaurant then I have no problem going down that road.

Appreciate all the input. Got a lot of ideas that I hadn't thought of, anything that is possible will be implemented.

I guess "thinking" might have been a little underselling it as it's going to happen and should start build out in the next couple weeks.

I would love to see a more laid back version of Peche's raw bar. Raw oysters, boiled seafood, ceviche, poke, crudo, etc...

Big question: Are you going to season the crawfish water or sprinkle them after cooking?

Are you looking at that garage near Iverstine? I think you will do fine there if so.

if you want to observe a highly successful seafood market and eatery, go check out Joe Patti in Pensacola

It has the advantage of being on the water I guess, but I don't know why they don't have more places like this .

the one issue with that location is ingress and egress. Despite that, I still visit Iverstine and Petz Plaza. My point being that you have to have something people will come for, otherwise it is not worth the hassle fighting that turn.

I wish you luck.

Joe Patti's gets lots of tourists coming through buying tons of seafood. BR won't get that kind of business, but it's still a great place to check out to see how a great seafood market can be done.

I'm late to this discussion, but wanted to add that I would definitely frequent a seafood market in the area you are discussing at least once a week.

If you could have a good craft beer selection and the possibilities to fill growlers, i'd be there every other day.

I'd add that if you are looking to make it more of a hangout place and not just a pick up and go place, that you should have tons of outdoor seating and a kid friendly environment. For example, I've heard numerous parents talking about how Curbside is their new favorite place to go because their kids can play and the parents can eat/drink. I think that has to be one of the main reasons why Curbside has been so successful. I can't think of any other place in BR that has something similar.

Bike friendly would be nice too, depending on where the business is in relation to this: LINK

Also, I can't find a link online, but I think this property on Perkins is for sale. It would be a great place for something like this.

Let's be honest here. The 70808 market is full of families. Especially along Perkins by College, there are tons of them: Southdowns, Garden District, Kenilworth Pollard, along Highland, etc.

A place with fresh seafood and kid friendly would print money.
