Agree. Didn't mean to down vote. I'm hoping to provide something that LAB and some of the others guys don't. On top of the market the property lends into to an open air restaurant of sorts

I want good boudin, fresh salt water fish, good raw shrimp prices, and awesome plate lunches that are under $8.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone selling red snapper can eat a dick.

I was going to mention something earlier about a mix between LAB and Tonys.

The other thing I was hesitant to mention was not having it where people can eat there. Is that part of the plan or just an option?

they're contributing to what's wrong with the recreational sector of red snapper fishing. If your not familiar, we as recreational angler, get THREE fricking days to catch snapper this year!

I feel like to be successful in south BR you might have to dip your toes into the catering business. Boiled crawfish is a given though there might not be any room for a new player in the game. But crab and shrimp boil catering is there for the taking.

If you want seafood plate lunches for under $8, you're gonna be eating the fresh catch from Lake Sysco.

As of now it's part of the plan so I can obtain a CAB-2 license.

What's your reservation on that?

I'm very familiar and vocal through CCA. That being said while it contributes to the laws I'm not sure it's as cut and dry as a seafood market buying snapper and being the bad guy.

I think counter service for fried or boiled seafood is an excellent idea
poboys/baskets/gumbo type stuff

keep your overhead down and remember that if you can swing a way to make it a beer destination also, it will support the bottom line with higher profits. A little casual beer garden area where you can sit and eat would be sweet

Guy here opened a similar place in Baton Rouge. Hopely he sees this and chimes in

Really wish I could find fresh high end seafood around my area but the demand just isn't there

Yes , it's needed and I would frequent your establishment if you offer a variety of salt water fish.
Baton Rouge may not be the ideal location for a Joe Patti's style market, but damn I love that place.
