Fleur de Lis
Ruffino's
California Pizza Kitchen
DeAngelo's

(IMO) CPK has the best pizza, but they are expensive as shite.

Is there still a Louisiana Pizza Kitchen on Corporate, across from Town Center? I loved the one off Essen back in the day.

For the money, Rotolo's has a damn good pizza and calzone.

Baton Rouge is a very poor pizza town. Having said that I feel Red Zeppelin is the best.

Lit, Red Zeppelin, Rotolos, Schitlz and Giggles (if you get lucky and catch them while they are giving a shite) are all fine options.

I agree BR is kind of weak as a pizza town though.

We used to have a really good pizza option until people started insisting on slamming into Bogdan's giant arse brick pizza oven equipped trailer and he decided to move on to open a brick and mortar in NOLA where he could get more business.

It's one of those rare instances where Baton Rouge's two great strengths, rabid love of chain restaurants and shitty driving, combined to run off one of the few things worth a shite in this town.

Mama Della's was pretty good too, but that guy was a psycho.

I'm a huge fan of Red Zeppelin's pizza. I like Bistro Italia's for a change of pace.

Haven't tried Lit or Grimaldi's yet but intend to. I find Rotolo's to be on par with Papa John's variety these days to be honest.

LIT Pizza is my favorite pizza in town.

Red Zeppelin has solid pizza with the best beer menu at a pizza place in town.

Whole Foods has some surprisingly good pizza.

Forgot about this one. If there's a WF nearby, their pizza is legit.

I thought Grimaldi's closed in Baton Rouge. Did they reopen another location?

Lit

Zep gets the nod for #1 because of their beer selection.

Roma in Praireville use to be worth the drive. I've only had it a few times years ago though.

Right now I'd have to say Lit. I also like Grimaldis. I enjoy FDL, although I certainly don't think it'd win any "Best Pizza" contests -- I love the old-school ambiance. I've never had Red Zeppelin, but the photos I've seen don't look all that impressive. Whole Foods does a decent job as well. Places like Mellow and Rotolos would be lower down the list.
