Bud & Marilyn's
Tria
Frankford Hall
Parc
Hai Street Kitchen
El Rey/Ranstead Room (mainly the latter for drinks)
El Vez

Never been but Zahav is supposed to be good. There are tons of others honestly...in the times I visited I mostly ate in the Manayunk area. Bud & Marilyns is legit though.

Haven't been in a while but my favorite cheese steak is from Prince of Steaks. Jim's on South Street is also really good. Get em with whiz (cheese whiz).

I enjoyed this, but regret not asking for double whiz. Also, I think onions and peppers are a must.

Am I the only person that is completely unimpressed with any of the authentic cheesesteaks from the famous spots in Philadelphia?

I feel like jersey mikes makes by far the best cheesesteak I've ever had.

Jersey Mikes makes a good tuna but never had their cheesesteak. I love authentic cheesteaks and I think Liberty in New Orleans has a pretty good one too. I do wish Jersey Mikes would come to NOLA just for the tuna Mike's Way.

I wasn't impressed with the two I've had from Dalessandro's. Honestly think Philly Me Up and South of Philly are better.

Reading Terminal Market has some gems:

Dinic's Roast Pork with Provolone and Broccoli Rabe
Beuler's Apple or Blueberry Fritter
Herschel's Deli Pastrami
