What vine is that?

I'd say there is not a chance in hell that is happening.

It seems like it was only a couple of batches ago you were acting like hot shite because you picked up a couple of 4pks of GiTM. Oh how times have changed.

Hot shite huh? nah it was good beer, this batch not so much, so take your White Knight for Parish self and get your story right, don't be mad because they put spoiled Andygator in a Ghost bottle..... The truth hurts I know, give Andrew a hug and make sure you clean those baseboards over there, I think some of the dirt got mixed with the magical hops, adjust the blinds for him as well, the sunlight destroyed this batch of hops.......

I did read somewhere that Parish was going to start using beechwood.

Get out of here with your logic and informed discussion. This thread is for shitting on Parish. At least that's what I was told.

Shitting on Parish? Nah, I'd call it asking why a bottle labeled as GITM is not close to any of the previous contents sold inside of bottles labeled as GITM.

Honestly is it not widely known that each batch of Ghost will vary from other batches? I thought that was a big reason people enjoyed it so much as they get a little something different every few batches. Is this new batch WAY different than the rest of something?

I have never Knighted for Parish and have always kind of thought the talk of them being "world class" was a little over the top. People freaking out over 1 batch and trying to compare them to BMC is just plain silly. Like you said, if you don't like the beer don't buy it. It really isn't that hard.

Tree House cans are $3.50--so let's say the price is comparable to others they are striving after.

Just got back from there and I paid $4/can. Soooo. Granted, different beers, different prices, but you're making a generalization that's inaccurate.

Back to catching up on this typical Parish shitshow.

ETA: this thread is up there some of the more stupid Parish threads we've had. Well played.

If that was their intent, fine. But I have it on inside info that batch to batch, the beer should be the same unless a mistake was made, or a new recipe/process tried.

Also, they can sell whatever packaged beers they want directly on site, they just can't be consumed there.

Technically true, but only a certain amount. Not that they have any real fear of hitting the limit given the current model, but it's worth keeping that in mind.

Actually wasn't the batch around last August or September similar?

Maybe the time of year does have something to do with it...

I remember loving one batch as it was like orange juice then the very next batch was piney almost.... That is the biggest difference I've seen with Ghost, however, since Envie had a new recipe I've drank less and less Ghost.

So the whole different beers, different prices thing was lost on you, I guess?

Reading comprehension sho' is hard.

My point is you cite that as if it's a universal standard and it's not. But it's cool if you don't believe me. I wouldn't know anything. I wasn't actually there.

Same.

Not that I think Envie is as good as Ghost, but Envie is so much more readily available and Ghost can be a real shite show to get.

I have some early June Envie sitting in my fridge and it's really just hitting its stride.

Disagree--my point is that $3.50 for a high quality DIPA is not out of whack with other similar products. Albiet, I agree that generally paying $14ish after tax for 4 brews from the grocery store is high, especially to those new to the craft beer scene, Parish does have comparable pricing

ETA: disagree in that I did not mean it as a universal standard--of course it's not, prices in craft vary widely--but there is at least other high quality DIPAs out there that go for around the same price
