I do believe that most people would appreciate more transparency. I do believe that the customer is at least owed that much. They did exactly this with Opus 2.0. They told you what they were going for and why they changed it.
With GITM, people have come to expect "GITM". The last few batches have been consistent. That's why you have people up in arms on here about it. I haven't tried it yet, but Im looking forward to it as Im sure it won't suck. It'll be a quality Parish ale. If it's not, I wont buy any.
exactly how I feel.
Also about the premium price. shite I bought a 12oz bottle of Founders ridankulous for like $3.25 at the grocery store last night so $3 a bottle really isnt a whole lot.

In a bar, no. Straight from the manufacturer? Absolutely
You're still wrong. $3 for 12oz of hoppy beer is not a premium price. If you want to argue that $15 for 750ml of Parish Grand Reserve or Imperial Reserve straight from the brewery is premium priced, I can listen.

Nobody in La on the brewery scene is doing some kind of crazy discount just because they are selling from the "manufacturer". It doesn't really work like that.

Because you can't say which beer you like and look forward to. I think it's the uneasiness that humans deal with of being very scared of change in general

I understand.
I'm with you about it. It's not that important to me as long as it's good.
We want to support the small craft breweries, and as they pop up, perhaps the trade off is less consistency. I really don't mind that. In fact, as long as the quality is there, I think it would be pretty fun.

That's a good point. It's about managing expectations.

I guess craft breweries have it all figured out, and every other business ever has been doing it all wrong

Is every other business required to sell their products to an "independent distributor" before the consumer can buy it from a retailer?
You have it all figured out, so tell us how to do it.

The Parish Tap Room is an independent distributor?

Well they just recently even got approval by a loop hole so they could sell directly to customers.
Maybe the markers is different. For some brewerys, but NOLA made it a point to not do any crazy under cutting of the bars and stores that sale there product. I mean it would stink for Avenue Pub, whose a mile from them to try and compete at $3 more a beer.
Yuu have all kinds of customers to think about in that business

You really know nothing about how the beer industry works, so I'm done with you. Keep bitching about $72 cases of the best beer in Louisiana. If you don't buy it next time, there will be someone else who will.

Inform me how it works then. Do they not peddle their wares from their tap room? Didn't they bottle some GITM and decide to sell it in their taproom the next day? Doesn't seem like a lot of time to sell to distributor and then have distributor come in and sell the beer.
How tangled is your neckbeard right now?

Seriously? You guys don't really want to have a discussion; you just want to be right about something that has no right or wrong.
