That's the thing I love about Bud Light, consistency. You know you're getting fresh taste, a crisp clean finish and superior drinkability in each and every can. That and the Beechwood Aging. A process more Brewers should take advantage of. I assume it's the lack of resources.

If you want consistency, drink Bud Light.

According to Bar Rescue, Budweiser buys all the beechwood and there literally is none to buy anywhere.

Well, they're gonna own all the cute little craft beer brewies in the next couple years. Maybe they'll spare a few some beechwood.

That is the dumbest thing I have read on this thread...shite..maybe on this board.

So you are telling me that if you purchase a Coca-Cola every day because you like the taste of it, that you would not be mad when you get a can from a shitty Circle K and it tastes like RC Cola? If this is true, then you are a easy target and a dumb consumer of products in which you do not care about consistency.

Maybe its just me but I would not be very pleased if I went to a store and purchased a bottle of "Ghost in the Machine" not "Ghost in the Machine 2.0" or "Ghost in the Machine Batch 1447889" and it did not taste like my previous purchases of "Ghost in the Machine" not "Ghost in the Machine 2.0" or "Ghost in the Machine 1447889". But hey, maybe I am in a rare crowd or percentage of individuals whom like to get what they expected when they pay for a branded item

Maybe we are simply experiencing a new way of looking at things. We are so conditioned to consistency in branded items that we can't imagine another way.

Maybe it's not a bad thing, but rather just different?

I'm sort of thinking out loud as I type this, but why does consistency matter so much? Quality matters. But why is "same" so important?

Hmmm.

And I'm old!

Coke isn't produced with living organisms like beer is. Try again.

Because nobody cares enough about Art Car.

My first post I was fricking around and joking with you. This one I'm serious. Not to say Art Car is bad, I like it just fine, but it doesn't have the same fanatical obsession that accompanies Ghost.

I guess Louisiana just appreciates craft beer more.

Why can Bud Light, Miller, etc produce a consistent product with hops that apparently change flavors, but this GITM looks and tastes different from a batch from a month ago

This. 5 pages of people bitching because this batch of Ghost is allegedly different. Then the OP posts pics of Ghost vs. Opus Vert, and they are, shockingly, different looking. Mostly because they are, you know, different beers.

I haven't tried this batch of Ghost. I likely won't until next week. But the beauty of hand crafted beer is that no 2 batches are ever the same. That's why I like small brewers (and homebrewing). If I want homogeneity, I have other options, like the aforementioned Bud Light.

It's a Louisiana based board.

(besides home brewers) No one would be judging batches of Ghost without these dumb threads. It's just lazy trolling.

The producers of Bud Light probably have a little more money than the producers of Ghost, which could help monitor the process.
