I'm coming in town for a day and wanted to know where this board would eat if they were going to be in town for only lunch for a day. Not looking for a high end place. I know there are hundreds to choose from, just wanted the experts opinions.

What town? Baton Rouge?

Also what day? This matters. (i.e. Monday, Tuesday, etc.)

If you want just a sandwich or something, I would do Butcher.

New Orleans on a Friday. I'm thinking more of a PO-boy and Gumbo type place.

Bevi Seafood is where my expert opinion would take me. It's in Metairie though. I'm assuming you will cross into Metairie at some point.
