It's a nice article, though.

In a city where people of colour have contributed to fine food and eating out for generations, the article was notable because of the whiteness of the restaurant owners and chefs featured, and the clientele pictured in the restaurants. Too bad.

The comments section is full of miserable people

Comments are amazing. Really like the guy who reminisces about the good old days when we used to serve boiled fish pre-Katrina.

Atrocious. Oozing with East coast liberals with a laughably condescending view of the South.

I'm finding it awfully hard to resist too. I thought Tigerdroppings had made me pretty troll resistant, but their power is very strong there.

I actually clicked on it to respond and then I saw I had to log in or something. Too much effort.

I'm not 100% sure where you got the idea that I don't enjoy dining in NOLA.

Hijack for the NO folks:

Going to Delmonico in a week and never been. Worth the trip? Didn't want to start a new thread for a quick question.

Delmonico is good. If you go a few blocks down there's Mr. Johns which is better.

I highly doubt Mr Johns is a better restaurant than Delmonico's.

As long as the New York Times is still around, New Orleans will never be without a daily newspaper.

Or so it often seems.
