Going to NYC for the first time the weekend before Christmas. We are staying at the Hilton Times Square. Looking for tips on where to eat. We will probably eat somewhere nice Saturday night to celebrate sister in law and brother in laws anniversary. We will be going to Broadway shows the other two nights. Any good bars would be nice too.

None of these are really "nice" but they are dive type places that are great.
One of the best burgers I have ever had: Shake Shack
For a good hotdog with a ton of different choices go to Crif Dogs in East Village...then for a great cocktail there is a "secret" bar attached that you walk through a phone booth to get too
In Times Square a cool little bar was O'Briens...if a guy named David Dempsey is playing go watch for a few of his songs. He's awesome
Again nothing too fancy but just a few fun places

I feel like you can find so many great places just walking around. I wouldn't spend to much time pre-planning meals.

This thread happens at least once per week. I bet if you searched this board you'd find plenty of those older threads.

Have you gotten broadway tix yet? For what youd spend going to a musical 2 nights in nyc you could orobably eat at Le Bernardin or Per se.

Yes we are going to see the Rockettes Christmas show at Radio City on Thursday night, and then they are wanting to go see Jersey Boys on Friday night. It will go about $350 for two for Jersey Boys...crazy! I'm trying to get them to go see School of Rock instead of Jersey Boys.

See if you can get into any of David Chang's joints... Momofuku

See everyone has their ideas of what they spend money on. To me that money would be better spent at any number of reataurants than sitting and watching a musical. But to each their own.
Have fun

Make you a reservation at the Palms Steakhouse. Not far from where you'll be, short taxi ride. If you like a hundred year old, loud, hard drinking and cigar smoking (not anymore)old time NY favorite with a damn good steak, go there.

Trust me....I'm the same way, but the women win out on this one.

I would look at Clock Tower. Recently returned from NYC and we really enjoyed it. Manhattan, in the Edition.

Jekyll and Hyde. Not the best food, but its probably the craziest resturant I've ever been too. Kind of like a haunted house. If you have kids, they would love it.
Went about 10 years ago when was a teenager and enjoyed it.

Jekyll and Hyde
I highly recommend McSorley's for a bar option.
