This might be the most boring television I've watched Bourdain do going all the way back to A Cook's Tour.

He's an average author, IMO.

Bourdain has a raging hard on for him... probably doing the show for him as a favor.

Bourdain needs to stick to Asia or the Near East.

I own a restaurant in that town. We specialize in Louisiana flavors. Our sales alone are greater than anyone else in this area, we give back a ton to our town and we got zero TV time. I guess we weren't hip enough.

Or do a Real Texas tour, not that shitty U.S. Southwest/Mexico Border crap he did. I don't need to see 20 minutes on the "alleged" original nacho.

I'm sure you run a fine establishment, but going to a Louisiana-centric restaurant in Montana goes against the point of the show.

Hey Montana, I've eaten at your place several times, including the one in Billings. (I am assuming I have, based on your description). Many good meals there.

Meh, I was born, raised for the most part, and currently reside in Texas, and have been to just about every hotspot and shithole in our fair state and everywhere in between.

I want to see places I've never been and thus make me want to go.

Hell, even if he did a Texas show, I'm sure he'd frick it up with some esoteric bullshite brought on by some light in the loafers Austinite showing him around Barton Springs or another boring local.

Sorry to hear that, Ain't right for sure, but glad to hear your doing good up there.

Please tell me you don't serve Armadillo. That kinda blew me away.. Always said I'd eat anything, And I have even tried Nutria but I might draw the line at Amadillo.

I don't think he had armadillo in last night's episode. You might be thinking of the Uruguay re-run that came on after.

Or bizarre enough? That was a really weird episode. There's so much more here - too bad he chose to focus on some cooky authors and artists. I've just never seen one of his episodes with such a narrow focus. Very disappointing.

BTW - we were over there a few weeks ago fishing with our guest Johnny W from BR. We stopped in for dinner and the manager gave me a free drink b/c of my LSU hat! Dinner was fantastic as always.

I kept thinking less talk, more food.

I've never liked Legends of the Fall and I'm still puzzled why death is a flesh colored door knob....

I do want to move to Montana now. Cattle can graze on my land any time they want to- no fences for me

His latest Thai episode was kinda shitty as well. It could be time for something new.

He's definitely an interesting guy, but the schtick of the show is sort of getting a bit repetitive bordering on tired. Frankly, I don't see how it couldn't.

That being said, I actually enjoyed the hell out of last night's show, perhaps just for the visuals, if nothing else.

I don't think there are too many more places he hasn't gone/wants to go, that will keep the show interesting.
