9/10.. not sure where J&J's is I'm ashamed to say. I'm not sure I'd count Molly's as a dive, at all. Just a good bar in the Quarter. Crown and Anchor is not a dive either. shite, neither is 12 mile limit. A dive bar doesn't have a nice cocktail menu.

Something tells me the author searched 'neighborhood bars' on yelp and picked the few he'd heard of and then guessed the rest of the way.

J&J's

J&J's has an unusually solid beer list. Mostly in bottles, but nice choices for cheap.

They have a little courtyard out back and always leave a cashed one hitter. That kind of cultcha should have them no lower then 2nd on that list.

ETA: J&J's is a few blocks from the Joint.

No Brothers Three, no care.
A friend of a friend was shooting pool there once when Bob Dylan asked him if he could get in.

Never been to Saturn or Crown and Anchor.

The Saint is always an interesting time. I haven't been the right kind of fricked up to go there in a minute. Last time I went I was only buzzing and that clearly was not enough to deal with the level of weird that exists there.

Crown and Anchor is a fine bar, but more of a neighborhood joint.

12 Mile Limit is a good bar in a shitty neighborhood. Not divey at all. Clean beer lines, good food, and unique cocktails.

Solid assessment. That's basically exactly how I would describe Black Label Icehouse. It would be worthy of this list based upon his apparent criteria.

Old point bar in Algiers point is far better than crown and anchor. And more of a dive.
