If I had a Wednesday to kill and wanted to do a good tour in the NOLA, do you guys have any suggestions? Tours of any kind. High end, walking, bus, local faves, whatever. Just looking for a good experience and good food from several places.

Also curious about any cooking classes that I might be able to pick up on also on a weekday. I am also very loose with this. Any kind of class that is a good time for a couple.

My wife and I did a cooking class at the Riverwalk many years ago at the NO School of Cooking and it was OK. I think Kevin Belton owns it now.

You might check out what's going on at the Southern Food and Beverage Museum. That could be interesting.

I just read something this week about him leaving there. No explanation. He mentioned something new on the horizon in so many words.

Frank Brigtsen does classes that are somewhat expensive, but look great. Multi course meal with wines, I believe.

Chef duke from cafe Giovanni does cooking classes out of his home. He has a gorgeous kitchen and is a good story teller . Add him on FB if interested

Just a bump for the Friday night crew.

Any fresh ideas for food tours or cooking classes?

Was it Gaston who did his own little food tour in the Quarter a year or so ago? He mapped out where he and the wife were going for a drink and a dish at a number of places. Looked like a great time.
