exactly, and I don't support them either

Bet you do support Microsoft or Apple or both though.

How about Home Depot and Lowes?

Bass Pro Shops and Cabello?

Sam's/BJs/Costco?

Olive Garden? (j/k )

My problem is with their methods.

- produce cheap, shitty product
- push mom & pops out of the way
- sell by marketing instead of merit

Have you seen the documentary Beer Wars? It goes into how the distribution and marketing channel is set up to heavily favor the big players. Should be on Netflix Instant if you have it.

I'll find it and put it in my queue right behind Monster Squad and Rad.

are there local options for laptops and cell phones? nope.
guilty on Lowe's and Home Depot
rarely go to Cabela's or Bass Pro, and even then I usually just look, find something I want and go find it elsewhere.
and hell yes I go to Olive Garden, that's some authentic Eye-tallian right there. I usually go there once a week, when I'm not at Red Lobster

good point.

Apple gets all sorts of love, but it is a behemoth that sucks up any chance of competition.

At least the mega-breweries have competition.

I justify my love of my iPhone by using Taphunter, Untappd, and Beer Buddy apps to keep up with my craft beer

From a cell phone point of view, they suck up all competition because they wear these other companies down with lawsuits.

"We are suing you HTC and Samsung. You have produced a smart phone with a touch screen. The device for the most part is also a square. It has many apps. It tells you the time. It has data service available. It has thousands of apps. As you can see, this is definitely infringing on our patents of this technological marvel. Please stop all manufacturing immediately."
