I have been doing this for a few years and want to share the recipe. I don't know calories or other numbers but it seems healthy and tastes good. You can use McCann's oatmeal but I get mine at Trader Joe's (8 minute quick cook)for a better price.
Preparation time: 12-14 minutes

1/4 cup quick cook steel cut oats (8 minute type)
1.25 cup water
1/2 apple
sprinkling of chopped walnuts
1 tbsp honey
1 tbsp Apple Butter or Peanut Butter
1/4(or less)cup blueberries(optional)
few grains of bee pollen(optional)
Light Yogurt

Set burner on medium high
Bring water to boil in small boiler
slice and dice apple while waiting
Munch on part of apple you dont want to put in oatmeal
Add Oatmeal when water starts boiling
watch/stir
4 minutes later add apples and walnuts
stir
once it thickens after 7-8 minutes add honey
turn burner off
add Apple butter or peanut butter
stir
dump into bowl
sprinkle bee pollen on top
let sit a few minutes
stir in couple of tablespoons of yogurt
add blueberries last and stir
eat

I make the steel cut oats. I just buy bulk at Whole Foods. They aren't expensive. I add dried fruit and agave nectar.

Mostly I have three cups of coffee and three scrambled eggs.

Smoothies when it's hot.

I eat probably a dozen eggs a week at least but I'll eat them at night too.

Don't eat bacon or sausage for breakfast but I'll use it in other cooking. Special occasions I might have some at breakfast but they fatigue me and I'm looking for a nap after a huge breakfast.

I am never hungry enough in the morning to eat all this. I am lucky if I have coffee plus 1 of the things you listed.

I just ate a quarter pound of hogs head cheese on about 10 saltines. I'm on my third cup of coffee. I'll kill 12 ounces of milk in a few minutes.

I forgot to add my 12 oz V-8 every morning. That and the coffee helps me drop Obamas kids off at the pool.

Now that's a breakfast. When I was in college, their was a coffee shop two doors down from my house. I would get pretty much this exact same breakfast except it was (obviously) a different coffee. I think it was Charleston Coffee Roasters dark roast. They also toasted the grapefruit which was awesome.

I cook my regular steel cut oatmeal (not quick cook) in my large crock pot overnight on low heat. I use two small ovenproof bowls, probably about 2 cup sized, placed in about 1-2 inches of water. The water provides steam.

Follow the box instructions for proportions of oats:water and add apples, etc. I add the yogurt when I take the bowls out in the morning. If no one else in my family wants oatmeal, I save the extra bowl for the next day.
