The owner is 32 (looks way younger, I know) and is known for being tight with his money. I can't see him "thowing" it away on an awful lease agreement. That was why I was curious if anyone knew anything factual about his actual lease

I have a few friends with stores in towne center. The rent at Towne center isn't as high as a lot of places. Not saying it's cheap but it's not astronomical.

Also word on the street is that champs basically just locked the doors and bailed one day. So mugshots got to come in to a kitchen that had a lot of nice equipment that they really didn't need so they sold a lot of it.

I noticed last night that mug shots was using maybe 1/3 of the original kitchen .. and you mean the landlord sold the unneeded kitchen equipment ..

Wnet there today for lunch.

Fried pickles =excellent

Fried onion rings = excellent

Pulled pork sandwich = excellent taste and more food than one person should eat.

I't's been a long time since I've been in that building but, I'm guessing they basically just left the place the same on the inside and changed the name?

Friend of mine works for Coors and told me Mugshots had to have a Haz-Mat company come in and clean the place before they could start. Champs literally left EVERYTHING. Beer just sat in the tap lines and they got all moldy, food that was prepped for the next day, stuff that has no business siting in a fridge for months. Im glad to hear its doing better. I will try and get over there for a beer soon.

it was completely unexpected .. ownership told no one ... not a soul ... they locked the doors that night and walked away ... i really don't believe the haz mat stuff though .. the landlord went into that place and i saw them cleaning out the kitchen from the back .. no one is going to leave the kitchen like that if they have to show the place to perspective tenants ... i could see the beer lines being true .. but that's just bleach and hot, soapy water running through the lines for a few hours there ..

Go hungry ! They give you a lot of food !

BTW: they have a HUGE burger challenge . If you can eat the burger and fries in 12 minutes, it's free. Free being a relative term since the effect on your system will probably be payment enough.

I just got back from lunch at Mugshots. Had a burger and it was legit... I think they use the same buns Mason's does. It'll be a good spot to watch some games and have a beer.

like lawman says .. the burgers aren't bad at all ... basically the identical draft selection that champp's had .. in fact, i don't think mugshots did anything to the interior except take the keys from the landlord .. you won't know you are not in champps again when you go ...

I've been twice and have yet to try anything but the fries off of somebody elses plate while watching a game. The beer is cold and fairly priced. 3-7 & 10-12 happy hour. If you've been to Champp's you've been to Mugshots.

I'll be back to try a burger soon just haven't yet, but of the 4 or 5 people that have tried them it doesn't appear they are groundbreakingly good...just good.

Went last night with the lady, got the boneless wings and each got a burger. Everything was very good, and beers are cheap. 1/2 off 10oz 3-7pm and $1 off 22oz after 10pm. 22oz andygator is $5, $4 after 10. Can't beat that.
