Place was terrible but thought it was a good fit for Metairie.

It wasn't good. Not sad about it. Marcello's is great.

I've only been to Coyote Blues once and it reminded me of a bad TexMex place that would be right outside a mall.

What's Marcello's? I see it is an Italian place. What type of Italian?

I'm not.

I love Marcello's and hope they do well there, but it'll be interesting to see how they fit in on Vets.

Very happy about this. I really thought CB was pretty bad

Marcello's opening a location in JP is a huge plus for the area.

Coyote Blues had the Chevy's / Serrano's crowd locked up. How in the world could it not make money?

Well, from what I understand, JP is the new food capital of NOLA.

I thought the one in BR was pretty good albeit a little pricey for Mexican

Was the Metairie location just a notch below the BR one or something? It's not like they have a lot of great Mexican restaurant to compete with in Metairie.

My experience with CB was very good. We went about 6 or 7 times and thought the food was better than Tex Mex that I've had.

I think the article says that the Marcello's owner has some connection to the CB operation, so maybe it was just a case of trying to upgrade income potential.

I prefer Casa Garcia or Don Jose over Coyote Blues. Only went to CB twice since it opened. I've never been to the BR location to compare.

CB in Baton Rouge seems to be going downhill

Well, it's certainly a less than desirable establishment.

It was definitely worse than the BR one. I haven't been to the BR one is a couple years, however.
