I know more about that case than the average person. It's a pretty fascinating thing for a law student.

It was absurd.

I have not eaten at a McDonald's in over 15 years. At least.

I think the last true fast food place was Wendy's on St. Charles Ave. about five or six years ago in an emergency.

The documentary of this is on Netflix. Very interesting.
Wasn't as simple/petty a lawsuit as we are led to believe.

I couldn't remember the name so I googled and all signs are leading to "Hot Coffee"

I'd like to see them compare a fully cooked chicken breast to the mcnugget meat.

While the initial damage award was excessive (but later reduced by the courts), the case is not nearly as absurd as many people believe. If one actually takes the time to objectively review the evidence from the trial, the jury's verdict makes much more sense.

I've done tons of consulting for large poultry companies and have toured numerous facilities.

It's chicken in the nuggets. The infamous "chicken soft serve" that makes the rounds on the Internet is merely puréed chicken meat.

Basically at the end of the line for chickens where the meat is removed from the bones, the carcasses are fed to a machine that literally strips away any and all remaining meat from the bones. The meat is sent through a machine that almost "liquifies" it and voila, you have what looks like disgusting pink soft serve but is actually chicken. The bones are then ground and used in products like dog food and agriculture. The pink stuff goes to your McNuggets, hot dogs, and sausage.

A chicken processing facility is an interesting place.

It's really not. At least the ones I've been to. They are all extremely clean and the technology is incredible.

It absolutely astounds me that people feed that stuff to their children.

Same. If I had to guess, they most likely put "normal" nuggets under the microscope and noticed weird shapes or what not and thus couldn't use it in the video .

Studies like this are interesting but ultimately the only thing they showed us was that nuggets look funny under a microscope. They should have shown a comparison w real nugget which would have literally taken 2 seconds or identified these "funny" looking shapes.

First, that had nothing to do with the content of the food. Second, everyone admits that that case was a complete outlier and one of the most absurd judgments in history.

No. It. Wasn't

Coffee is never to be boiled, ever

For real. This is one of the most ridiculous and lopsided anti-mcdonalds videos I've ever run across. "here is a mcnugget close up, isn't it gross looking? And you eat it!!! But we won't show real food up close, because if it did look anything like these nuggets, we'd be labeled as hacks"
