You can get a mini Mac anytime, really. McDouble, hold ketchup, add mac sauce.

Ordered one today from the McDonalds in Sorrento, and it was delicious. Basically a Big Mac on a Whopper-sized bun, with slightly bigger patties. It was $4.99 -- I wish I would've ordered another one.

Once again, often times I order a double quarter pounder with cheese, and I just tell them I want it dressed like a Big Mac. It's the same cost as a regular DQP would be, and I've never had a problem ordering one.

Lettuce and sesame seeds are missing from your low budget Mini Mac poser

Nice!

I ordered one today. I enjoyed it. I was planning on ordering another one before I got home but I talked myself out of it.

After looking at your pic, I recalled that mine was in a clamshell box like yours, but it was also half wrapped. Like below:

How could someone downvote the commercial tag for the Big Mac in the 60's and 70's.

TWO all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun goddammit!

So, no lettuce and you like mustard on your mini mac?

Best way is a double cheeseburger only onions, shredded lettuce, and Mac sauce.

I don't like pickles on my burger and I prefer extra cheese.

Am I the only one that feels McDonalds really missed the boat when they rolled out the "Big Mac Family" Campaign?

To me its clear the names should have been:

Mac Daddy
Big Mac
Baby Mac

That would buck the trend in fast food portions if they have. I think we've all just gotten bigger.

But the Grand Mac.

I just had my second one, from the same store as before. It, too had patties that were very dry. I guess they'll need to sell more so they don't sit around so long.

When I worked there some 40 years ago, the sauce came in two components. The thick thousand island dressing, and the acetic, nose-assaulting pickle relish. You had to mix them both together and hand scoop them into plastic tubes and connected them to a caulk tube like apparatus. The smell from the pickles would permeate your brain. I couldn't walk into a McDonalds for six months after I quit because I couldn't stand the smell.

Well, the Big Mac is actually just a rip-off of Big Boy. If you want the original (and best) you've gotta find a Big Boy location, which are few and far between nowadays.

"Classic Big Boy: Two fresh seasoned patties with American cheese, shredded lettuce and Big Boy® special sauce on a sesame seed bun."

For those that missed this, here's how to make the special sauce and it's not Thousand Island dressing.

Directly from McDonalds Canada
