If they have a menu online, I suggest you check it out. Walked in last Saturday and got a menu from the counter (it's counter service).. nothing sounded too enticing, so I went elsewhere.

They offer some fried seafood, but oysters.. not really much of anything outside of a few poboys and a cheeseburger

It's the same exact thing every other bar/grill type lunch spot is in BR and Louisiana. Poboys, gumbos, fried seafood.

Ate a sloppy roast beef poboy there a couple weeks ago. It was ok.

They were advertising an AYCE boiled crab special a week or so ago. Had I been closer than 3.5 hours, you'd have a review. You locals are slacking...

His first location was near my old office... I tried it a few times and nothing was special at all. Like another poster said, it's the same song and dance. Not sure where this dude gets his funding from, but he is going to be wishing he had it all back in about a year is my guess.

Other than he is from down the bayou there is nothing different or amazing about his food. No clue as to why he opened that second location. At most we would see maybe 4-5 cars at one time at the other place. But.... I guess good luck at the old Leroys location.

Guess this sounds negative, but shite man if you are going to advertise like he does about how great his place is... You better have something original other than 6 tiny arse oysters on your poboy

It's a poboy place. They have good poboys and Marty is a nice guy. that's about all I can say.

i think it's just fine for what it is. People that stumble into the new locations because walk on's is too crowded will be pleased with the product IMO.

Don't expect nouvelle cuisine, it's a poboy joint. For BR, I give them a 7.5 out of 10. I think their RB poboy is one of the best ones in town.

I had a plate lunch from Marty J's the other day that was good. Don't know if I hit them on a good day or not, but it seems like they put a little effort into the food this time. The plate lunches had gotten absolutely terrible. Maybe Marty reads some of the feedback on here.

Wasn't he advertising it as a big seafood market in addition to the restaurant? Did that ever happen?
