Martin's Wine Cellar on Baronne for sandwiches. Fat Harry's for wings. Superior Seafood for raw oysters and frozen mojitos. Columns for drinks.

Burger at Hi-Hat or Le Petite, you're probably right in between as a crow flies

As everyone said, Freret isn't too far with High Hat, Ancora, Wayfare, etc.

Just down Prytania for Manhattan Jacks or St James Cheese Company

Magazine and a few James Beard places, if that's your thing.

Who eats at that New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood ON St Charles to keep that place in business? Lots of tourists? I don't think Ive ever seen it recommended.

A co-worker recommended that place to me just last week. Raved about some kind of garlic sauce they use on their fries. She is not a food snob like I can sometimes be, so that's all I'll say about that.
