What about the expensive gas station on the other corner? They have a deli, do they do eggs and such or just premade biscuits?

Hell I get up at 5am.. i feel your pain. I give myself enough time to shower and stop by Ralph's and pick up breakfast.

in the same amount of time you take to go out of your way to a store, pull in a parking lot, walk in the store, order the food and pay for it, you could scramble eggs and cook bacon or sausage at home and eat. your not saving time or money by buying breakfast, your saving effort.

You may be right except for cleanup and potentially waking others in my house up that don't need to get up near that early.

THIS!!!

plus you can control what's going into your eggs..i can throw a pat of butter into a skillet and crack 3-4 eggs into it, scramble them..slide onto plate, throw a littel sea salt & pepper and then wolf them down all in about a 5 minute span.

eating out will sabotage your low carb diet despite your best intentions..you would be AMAZED how much crap goes into even seemingly 'simple' foods like eggs.

What about the Chevron at 30 in St Gabriel. They serve a damn solid breakfast menu, and you get to control what goes in to it.

I realize that it would cross his no carbs thingy, but they serve some damn good grits. They have a line in there each and every morning, and the prices are on the cheap side to boot.

You could cook a lot of eggs/bacon/ etc. on Sunday night and just keep it in the fridge and heat it up in the microwave for the rest of the week

Make these one evening, and with a quick microwave in the morning, you are set:

LOW CARB BREAKFAST “MUFFINS”

Preheat oven to 350º.

Fry 1 lb. bacon and chop.

While frying bacon, crack 12 eggs in a bowl and add:
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
2 cloves minced garlic
4 cups finely cut spinach
2 shredded zucchinis

Add chopped cooked bacon and stir all together.
Grease muffin tins and fill 3/4 with egg mixture and bake for 25 minutes.

They keep in fridge forever. Easy to grab on the go as a snack or a few for a quick breakfast.

If you do eat some dairy and carbs, add 1 cup mayo, 1 cup of half-and-half and a whole 16 oz. package of shredded cheese to the mix and only fill tins half way.
