Taking my son to Houston next week. He loves a good steak. Staying close to Minute Maid but don’t mind driving wherever.

B&B butchers. Can’t go wrong with the steak, try the carpet bagger.

Vic and anthonys right next to minute maid. Get each a steak then split a 6oz a4 or a5 wagyu to taste it.

I agree with B&B. We went two weeks ago and had the Chateaubriand. It was amazing.

Agreed. One thing I really like about them is their wide variety of beef choices including, as you mentioned, wagyu. If you like carpaccio theirs is great as is the bone marrow.

I also like Del Frisco’s but you can't go casually dressed which V&As business casual is fine.

I second the Houston Doris, I was there today, and have been dropping in for years. It was the place that convinced me that Sous Vide was *the* way to cook steak. They don't tell you, but at least the tenderloin comes with a bone marrow presentation by default.

I was there for a 5:30 res (had tix for Chapelle at 7:30, don't judge,) and the place was 90% full by 6:45.

BTW, if you're going to Chappelle, he doesn't come out until after the intermission, over two hours after the scheduled start. I don't mind opening comedians, but DJs and musical acts are a waste of time. And screw you, Toyota Center, your air conditioning in the seating area sucks goat balls.

We had Morton’s before a concert last year, mainly due to convenience to MM and hotel. It was ok but not fantastic.. It was about Ruth’s price level and dark and fun for a date/night concert.

Mortons sucks and is the worst of the chain steakhouses. Ruth's is far better.

Taste of Texas is another recommendation along the others. A great salad bar and you get to pick your own steak out which your son might like.

It is out by CityCentre however, so about 20 min drive from downtown.

I agree Ruth’s is much better than Morton’s. Our meal and experience wasn’t terrible. Service was very good. It was a fun atmosphere prior to a concert. Few drinks before hand helped too!

Everything is really subjective. I had a horrible experience at Ruth's in Baton Rouge and will never go back. I had an amazing experience at Morton's in H-Town and will certainly be back.

While there, sit in the bar and see if you're approached by any goldiggers! It's supposed to be the place to look for a sugar daddy!

It’s only appropriate to take your sugar baby to Steak 48 then Marfreless afterwards.

This is a good choice, steaks and sides are both excellent. If you do go, pay close attention to if the steak is served on a hot plate. If it is, order it rarer or request it be served on a regular plate.
