Despite passing the one on Airline in Gonzales 1000 times, I went into it for the first time about a week ago. I was blown away. Nicest grocery store I've ever been in. Looking forward to the new one.

AG grocery store. Locally owned and have really stepped their game up. I think this is the first store that they have done from the ground up.

You can always tell the Baton Rouge carpetbaggers by their use of Leblanc's instead of calling the store Payless.

You sure seem mad about BR people moving into AP. if it weren't for them that shiny new store would still be a cow pasture.

yah I heard they are going to have different food stations and an aged beef case I know my husband will love that. Also I think there is a classroom upstairs for wine tastings

Best schoolin' in the state before them, best schoolin' after them.

Honestly could care less about the carpetbaggers. Just like being able to decipher them.

Growing up our number and there number ended with 3939, just the first 4 digits were different.

Can't tell you how many 2am calls began with, "Dis Rosebud's?"

We always called it buckwheats.

Can't wait for it to open, I live behind the Payless on 42 and maybe it'll ease the congestion there.

I lived on Oak Meadow for a couple of years while I was in college and that was quick stop before we got to my place many nights.

Don't think "LeBlanc's" will let me do that.

It was called buckwheats at one time as well....the phone calls reflected that.

We had a LeBlanc's burger up in Zachary. Is this grocery store the same family?

I'm excited too, bengalbelle86. I heard like it's going to be more upscale and whole foods-like, with more organic options. Hopefully the beer selection is good too

I shop at the LeBlanc's in Gonzo the most. They recently removed the Quizno's that was next to it and remodeled it into their own hot food area and it's extremely nice. I can only imagine what one built from the ground up will be like.
