You realize that 120 minute IPA is a 12% beer

And at 21% ABV and 120 IBU’s, you can see why we are calling this the Holy Grail for Hopheads. Editors note: ABV reduced down to 18% in 2009.

Per Rate Beer...

I linked you an entire article on it. You don't seem to realize what is happening. Hell, losing that horrible hop bitterness can only help an IPA.

I don't think you understand this hops thing judging from the majority of your posts.

You don't understand the communication thing judging from the majority of your posts. Being a dick about beer?

Who's being a dick about beer? You yourself have expressed you don't like the flavor of hops. Ergo, you don't understand it. If you want to drink old, malty IPAs, or even no IPAs, fine, go for it. But if you choose the former it's not what the beer was intended to be by the brewer.

Don't like doesn't equal not understanding. I totally understand it. What I don't understand is why people, not in India pre-refrigeration, continue to want beer made in such a way that makes it taste terrible when there is no need.

That wasn't the point of the post. Go back and read it in context. It only had to do with the bizarre ramblings of the Bug guy.

I've worked in PA/OH the last 4 years and the amount of times I've seen a "Cajun ______" on the menu is staggering. It's mostly at sports bar and grill type places but sometimes at good restaurants. Being from cajun country, I find it annoying and disingenuous.

"Protein", sounds so clinical, what's next, does dessert become "glucose"?

"Locally sourced", I don't care if it came from Tasmania, just make it tasty.

Funny thing about "natural" and "organic", I've noticed that a lot of the people hung up on this are covered with tattoos, piercings and have purple hair. So the food is natural, but the people are toxic.

The ignorance on this board is amazing. The only thing toxic is that you actually believe the shite you are typing

Those processes do not ruin taste.

Hand battered.

As opposed to machine battered?

Is hand battered fish or chicken or whatever really going to taste better?

Hand battered makes me think someone jerked off on the food.
