Outside of the Punkin and Aprihop I dont like any of DFH beers. I have yet to have a Lagunitas that I dont like.

So you've never had 60 minute IPA, 75 minute IPA, 120 minute IPA, rhizing bines, Palo Santo Maron, Bitches Brew?

60,75,90,120 min ipa's are all really malty

I don't think the 60 is very malty. 90 is malty, and at 9%, it's kind of hard not to be. Don't remember 75 minute being too malty. I haven't had it in a while, and am still wanting to try 120 minute.

Also, I really like Lagunitas beers. They brew fine beers. I like the IPA, Hop Stoopid, Little sumpin sumpin, Pils, Night Time, and Lagunitas Sucks! is probably one of my favorite IPA's.

I've read their book. They didn't start turning real profits until mid-late 2000's. The story is really fascinating, and scary if you are looking to start your own business. However, they started in the early-mid 90's when craft brew was not highly sought after. Stories about jumping from bank to bank once their credit limit was maxed out. Owning 20 credit cards and every month transferring over to the one with a lower interest rate. Then the stories of the undercover sting, and the raids, and the government idiots trying to over regulate them. It's a good read.

and the only 2 you've liked were aprihop and punkin? You must not be a big craft guy, no offense. Or you are relatively new to the craft beer scene.

Dogfish is not expanding to Louisiana anytime soon. I email once or twice a year about this.

Honestly, they probably wouldn't tell you even if they were coming until after contracts had been signed with distributors. You may hear rumors before hand, but I highly doubt they'd come out and acknowledge it.

Not saying DFH is coming to LA any time soon, but I wouldn't trust some random marketing guys email response as the most accurate of sources.

What do you not like about them? I'm just curious. Taste is subjective, so to each his own, but i enjoy DFH's brews.

DFH puts out so many freaking beers. That is the appeal of DFH.

Recently the Rosabi was quite good.

What about the taste? Too malty? Too hoppy? Why are you being vague?

Way too malty. Not nearly hoppy enough. I just find them to be very average beers.
