Looking for a kid friendly place (2 year old) in Destin. No chains. Been recommended Cantina Loredo, but wife is from Shreveport and looking for other options. Any help is appreciated. Doing hibachi tomorrow night but open to any food types.

You may as well explore the hell that is Fudpucker's. They have a bar.

Boshamp’s has a little beach area where the kids can play while you wait for a table and have a cocktail. We are there yesterday, and usually go every time we are in town.

Price range and how good of food do you want? Tons of places like back porch, crab trap, and Lulu’s have literal playgrounds and sand toys for the kids to play with while you eat or wait.

And they charge you extra for some of that stuff. I found Lulu's to be overpriced and the food was average at best.

Ruth's Chris', at least a few years ago, had iPads and headphones loaded with movies for kids to watch while the parents ate. So as another poster sort of mentioned, pretty much every place in Destin is kid friendly.

That's total garbage. Go with Back Porch. It's on the beach and the fried fish sandwich is decent.

Not sure how far you are willing to drive but, the Gulf on Okaloosa Island or The Bay in Santa Rosa Beach are really cool spots for kids & adults. Live music, beach/ play area.

Check out Ft. Walton Brewing Co. If you get the chance.

Bayou Bill’s.

Shameless plug for my cousin's restaurant. He's usually got a guy out in the parking lot that blows glass to make stuff for kids during the summer time.

Any of the places like Harbordocks, Boshamps, Boathouse that are over on the harbor are good for kids because you can walk around on the docks to entertain them until you are seated

We took our two year old to Destin in 2017.

1: Fudpuckers

2: AJ's just because the docks and boats are cool, you can walk all down and around them. He enjoyed them, and he was really into live music at the time, during early dinner hours it is usually a dude with an acoustic singing James Taylor covers.

3: LuLu's on the Bay. Big sandy play area, music, and a dude with a plane that takes off and lands on the water every 30 minutes or so. Try not to get killed pulling out of the parking lot.

Seems like there has been a glass blower at Bayou Bills/Annes for like 30 years
