KFC in 6 Southwest LA locations closed

There are a total of six KFC locations from DeRidder down to Lake Charles and over to Lafayette. The six locations in the general area are CLOSED. No advanced notice was given.

Which are the ones in LA? I pulled up the article and it just mentioned Lake Chuck, Sulfur, and Jennings.

30 yrs ago they had OK chicken and friendlier service than, "It'll be 20 min for da spicy" The one in Jennings has only been open for a few years and it hasn't been busy since the first month it was open.

there has been a lack of KFC locations in La for a while now. Covington/Mandeville hasn't had one for years. I do get nostalgic for the Original recipe and the coleslaw every once in a while. When I was growing up in the 70s it actually came in a bucket-but even then no location in Covington, had to import from Hammond.

There are more than 6 KFCs in that area, there’s a new on in Lafayette off of Kaliste Saloom that isn’t closed according to the article.

The location in Kenner will give it to you in a bucket.
A lot of people hate on KFC Original. I think it's because they think it is greasy. But that moisture is no oil. It's tender because it's pressue fried.
Original has less fat than the crispy.

I always said that Popeyes needs to buy that KFC and open another Popeyes there. Maybe they will now. It is a brand new building dang near. Never a line at KFC, but the line is around the block at Popeyes.

KFC's are jam packed here in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, also in Indonesia- super packed. I knew the original franchise owner in Jakarta and he made a mint when he sold out- billions! Now he follows his son on the Formula 2 circuit.
They have Popeyes here in UAE, but most people prefer KFC. The biscuits I love and they are quality here.
