if you don't like it, why don't you step up, put your money on the line, and put a better business idea there.

If it's good, it'll do fine. You got something against fried food??

My only question is when does one open in Tampa?

I never complain when they build a new restaurant, no matter what it is. Only time I complain on them building something is when they add the 7th bank to the strip or 4th gas station on the corner.

Add drug store and auto parts store to this sentiment.

I feel the same way about my semi-rural area: we only seem to get pizza (Dominos, Papa Johns, Pizza Hut), Mexican (El Paso, El Mexicano), Chinese (three or four at last count), or fast food. There is plenty of room in the market for non-chain, non-schlock, as we are w/in 15 miles of NOLA and lots of affluent folks drive in for lunch or dinner. But we can't seem to get a bakery/cafe/place w/scratch cooking/non-fryer-based place. I keep hoping, but it's not happened in a dozen+ years. I did a happy dance when Truck Farm Tavern opened, but it's still 7-10 miles from me. Sigh....

Normally, I'd agree with you, but I've eaten at the one in Mobile many times, and it is immensely solid. One of the few out of state seafood chains I could see succeeding here.

Curious how good the smoked tuna dip is. Wonder if it's as good as the one at Red Door in Grayton Beach.

Ate at one in Mobile once. Best fried oysters I've ever had, and I've eaten a cargo ship full of fried oysters.

I agree a fried seafood place is redundant, but what would you want for BR? What do we need that we don't already have and will be successful in this town?

Be shut down within a year.

Gotta think new when it comes to place that has 1000 restaurants.

French brasserie, steak frites, Pate de Campagne, roast chicken. escargots, etc. In the vein of cafe Loup in NYC.
