Remnants from my hurricane pantry that I found, along with macadamia nuts with the same "best by" date. These are not "expiration dates" mind you, but should they be safe? I was about to toss them when a friend told me not to.

Should be fine. Try a bite. If it tastes off, spit it out. It won't harm you.

I'd eat the jerky before the macadamia nuts, which are so oily they easily turn rancid. Not bad for you, but just bad tasting.

Take your chances. The best by date for jack links sealed is usually a long ways away. What's the date on it? I'd toss it and spend the $3 on some fresh jerky.

If it hasn't been opened, it should be ok. I find they don't last long once the package opened.
